On March 8, 2013 340Boxing came to Atlantic City to fight on ESPN Friday Night Fights. All three boxers were scheduled to fight on the card but Julius Jackson’s opponent backed out of the last minute. Samuel Rogers scored a unanimous decision. John Jackson scored a devastating knockout 56 seconds into the fight.
Julius Jackson and Samuel Rogers are now in Spain training with World Boxing Council champ Sergio Martinez. Julius was tapped to be the chief sparring partner for Martinez (50-2-2 with 28 KOs) as he continues training for his April 29 fight against England’s Martin Murray (25-0-1 with 11 KOs) in Argentina.
ESPN was impressed with the tremendous performance by John jackson and he has been invited to be featured as the co-mail event, for ESPN Friday Night Fights on Friday April 19th . John (16-1 with 15 KOs) has been ranked No. 15 in his weight class by the World Boxing Council and is scheduled take on the undefeated Cerresso Fort (16-0-1) of St. Paul, Minnesota in a televised 8-round bout, which will be held at the Hotel Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
